 Our Project, La Ribera, win Third Prize at Worldwide Cemex Construction Awards |
Our Project, La Ribera, participated in the worldwide Cemex Construction Awards, in Monterrey, Mexico, winning an excellent Third Prize. There were projects from 21 competing countries. Mr. Ignacio Mallol, project architect, and Roberto Roy , our president, received the award. |

Our President Roberto Roy, from the 37th story of the Destiny Panama Bay Project, appears on the cover of the Martes Financiero magazine (supplement in La Prensa Newspaper of September 4, 2007), where he explains some of the causes of the cancellation of iconic projects, due to higher costs, new regulations and a drastic change of scale in the size of buildings.

Ing. Roberto Roy, President of R-M Engineering , received the medal “Galardón del Canal de Panamá” |
On September 6, 2007, Roberto Roy, President of R-M Engineering , received the medal “Galardón del Canal de Panamá” for his 11 years of service to the ACP and the waterway, first 2 years as the chairman of the Blue Ribbon Engineering Committee which made a complete independent study of the physical state of the Canal before the transfer to Panama, and later for his 9 years as a member of the board of directors. The ceremony took place in the official residence of the Panama Canal Administrator, Alberto Alemán, and was given by Dani Kuzniecky, Minister for Canal Affairs. |

Jaime Jované, RM partner, has been participating actively in the interagency talks on Safety between the Panama Construction Chamber (CAPAC), the Labor Ministry and the workers union SUNTRACS.
RM has built a special room for instructional videos on Safety and other issues in its operations center. |

Our founding President, Ing. Roberto Roy, was decorated by the President of Panama, Martín Torrijos, with the Manuel Amador Guerrero Order in the Rank of Great Cross (Gran Cruz), the highest national decoration that a non-diplomatic Panamanian citizen may receive, for his 11 years of work at the Panama Canal Board of Directors. President Torrijos, awarded the Order to Ing. Roy on May 18th, 2007 in a special ceremony at the Yellow Room at the Presidency of the Republic of Panama. |

R-M is appointed as exclusive contractor for the Playa Blanca project |
R-M has been appointed as the exclusive contractor for the buildings and homes of the Playa Blanca tourism project, announced Mr. Sanford Schwartz a partner in the firm. R-M has cooperated very closely from the beginning with Mr. Schwartz’s group, which includes Lynx Development group from Miami, Florida, headed by Ian Ludmir and Jorge Brugo. The Playa Blanca Project is a large complex , close to 1,500 condo units, duplexes and homes on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. |

R-M signs contract for the construction of the TEN TOWER project |
Eng. Roy and Mr. Gabriel Diez signed the contract for the construction of the new TEN TOWER Project, a beautiful 52 floor building in Costa del Este. |

R-M wins bid for the Hatillo building, future base of the Panama Mayor’s Office |
R-M won the bid for the complete remodelation of the Hatillo building, which will house the Panamanian Mayor’s offices. In a special ceremony, Eng. Roy received the order to begin straight from the hands of Mayor Juan Carlos Navarro.

Recently the construction of the Biodiversity Museum has started again. Designed by the renowned architect Frank Gehry. R-M Engineering is the Contractor-Project Manager of this beautiful work.
